The National Television Awards (shortly known as NTAs) is British television awards show that began in 1995 and has been broadcast by the ITV network since. The most well-known ceremony where viewers vote on winners, this event is also called “television’s biggest night of the year.”
The National Television Awards are in their 26th year as Britain’s most popular awards ceremony, featuring exclusive live music and special guest performances as well as the country’s most popular TV stars. The NTA is the only TV event in the UK where all of the winners are decided exclusively by the public in a massive nationwide vote, making it a champion of ‘viewer power.’ It is going to take place at Night on 9 September 2021 at O2 London and is going to be hosted by Joel Dommett.
ADDRESS: The O2, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX, United Kingdom
Voting Process:
The award show is split into two stages. In September, nominees for the awards are announced based on a list of most-watched programs from each channel and their stars according to BARB ratings. Then in January, shortlists for top contenders per category are released with PromoVeritas verifying all votes before counting them up at public vote’s end via post/phone or online depending on where you live. Public voting results have been widely reported by various media outlets worldwide since its inception as well as being covered heavily in British news coverage during nomination time periods every year.
